Now that he's lead the Lakers back to Play-off greatness, can we stop giving Phil the tag of right place right
can we finally give Phil his due as the greatest coach of all time. The knock on him was he wouldn't build or groom a team, but he groomed the Lakers. he tunrned Kobe into a team player and turned Lamar Odom into the player every coach thought he should be. Heck, D J Mbenga even appears to be headed for a ring. So can we finally... FINALLY... say that Phil is the best ever?
Those of us who have followed the Zenmaster's career already know he is the greatest. He is able to assess talent, sooth egos, and blend players together o come up with winning teams on a regular basis.
As far as the right place, right time tag, they used to say the same of Pat Reilly, who was a young assistant coach when Magic Johnson got Paul Westhead fired.
