What do I do about my neighbor's crazy boyfriend?
My neighbor and I have always gotten along well as we both have kids about the same age. Her boyfriend is at her house frequently, and he has become obsessed with my dogs. His dogs live in an air conditioned facility with radio, and he finds all kinds of fault with how I take care of my dogs. I have had my dogs for about 8 years (since they were puppies). They used to be indoor dogs but now primarily stay outside under a covered area or in a fenced in back yard. He has decided that he doesn't think their food is good enough, they are not fat enough, the list goes on and on. The guy is a nut!
He comes on my property during the day when I am not home to assess their situation, feed them, etc. I have tried to be nice and let him know that I appreciate his concern, but I have the situation under control (as I have taken care of them for years without his help!) I do not know what to do short of telling him I will have him charged with trespassing. Any advice?
Before bringing the law into it, see if there's some sort of mediation service available and try that.
Charging him with a crime is going to escalate matters.
