Has anybodys young child had an allergy to dog hair?
My 5 year old Grandson has problems being around our old Labrador. After a while his eyes and the skin underneath will swell and go red causing him great discomfort. I'm not terribly sure it is just the dog as he often lies on my sofa on a fleece blanket and the symptoms will then start. It was so bad yesterday that his parents will be taking him to the Doctors next week.
Has anyone been through the same, what will happen.?
My eldest son suffered terribly from an oversensitivity to the dander present in animal fur....which triggered off Eczema, Asthma and Rhinitis.....this happens when the body produces too many antigens as a response to exposure to certain allergens....and can be very severe and distressing
what your grandson is experiencing sounds very similar to this....and its good that he has a doctors appointment.....as they can advise and recommend interventions and strategies to help manage and control any symptoms....
