Name this movie, plz?
So I saw like 20 minutes of this on the sci-fi channel in a cheap motel some eight years ago, and it's been bugging me on and off ever since
It's about this genetically engineered (maybe cloned) guy who may (or very likely may not) be named Alfie (or Alpha, Alphie, etc.). He is designed for the government as an assassin. However, as he is being demonstrated to government brass, he refuses to kill a dog. This result in him and his "father" being disgraced.
The rest of this is either from the movie or from a dream I had after drinking bad water in Mexico:
The assassin/clone decides that the only way to impress his father is to kill someone (a politician?) Then he meets a prostitute maybe, or possibly just some poor girl.
